Class A or B CDL Driver

Position Summary:
We’re looking for dedicated and safety-focused Class A & B CDL Delivery Drivers to join our team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of building materials to various job sites, ensuring exceptional customer service with every interaction. You’ll operate specialized delivery vehicles, including those equipped with truck-mounted forklifts (Moffett, Piggyback, or Donkey), playing a vital part in our customers’ project success.


Key Responsibilities:

Safe and Efficient Deliveries: Operate Class A or B commercial delivery vehicles to transport building materials to and from delivery sites, strictly adhering to all traffic laws and weight limits.

Material Handling & Placement: Utilize truck-mounted forklifts (Moffett, Piggyback, or Donkey) to safely unload and neatly place materials at designated drop locations, ensuring the area is left as orderly and presentable as possible. Physically handle materials when necessary.

Accuracy & Quality Control: Oversee the safe loading of your delivery vehicle, verifying that the order is accurate according to pick tickets, bills of lading (BOLs), and any special instructions. Confirm that materials are delivered to the correct address and location.

Customer Interaction: Conduct yourself professionally and communicate clearly and helpfully with customers at delivery sites, representing our company with a positive attitude.

Safety First: Prioritize the safety of yourself, the equipment, the delivered material, and the drop location during all aspects of the delivery process.

Documentation: Accurately and legibly complete a daily Driver’s Log and all required delivery documentation.


Qualifications:

  • Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
  • Proven experience operating commercial delivery vehicles, preferably with experience using truck-mounted forklifts (Moffett, Piggyback, or Donkey).
  • Clean driving record.
  • Strong commitment to safety and adherence to all traffic laws and company policies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks associated with loading, unloading, and handling building materials.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Familiarity with building materials and construction site environments.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate order verification and documentation.
  • A proactive attitude and problem-solving abilities.
